THE CITY OF GENTRY is accepting applications for a construction and maintenance position with the Public Works Depart. Applications are available at Gentry City Hall, 8-5 Mon-Fri. or on our website at www.gentryarkansas.us. Applications will be accepted until 01/18/20 or until the position is filled. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid Driver’s License. A personal and professional background investigation, driver and criminal history will be conducted.  A medical examination, oral interview, and abilities testing will be required. The City of Gentry is taking applications for the position of Part-Time Firefighter.   You must hold a valid driver’s license, attend at least 50% of all required training sessions, respond to after-hours calls, must have completed all basic State required firefighter classes or higher, must have a minimum of First Responder Medical training or higher.  Applications will be accepted, until filled, applications can be found on our website, www.gentryarkansas.us or picked up at City Hall, 101 W. The City of Gentry, Arkansas, is accepting applications for the positions of Full-Time, Part-Time and Reserve Police Officers.  Applicants must be a U.S. citizen, at least 21 YOA, possess a valid driver's license and meet, or be able to meet, all minimum standards requirements, as set forth by the Arkansas Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Training.  Applicants chosen for further review will undergo a thorough personal/professional background investigation, and interview process.   Applications will be accepted until 11/30/19 or until the positions are filled.  This institution is an equal opportunity provider and employer. TAP Funding

Gentry has been selected to receive $39,000 in Federal funding through the Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP). This funding will assist with a sidewalk project located on S. Smith Avenue.
