Applicants must be a U.S. citizen, at least 21 YOA, possess a valid driver's license and meet, or be able to meet, all minimum standard requirements, as set forth by the Arkansas Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Training. Applicants chosen for further review will undergo a thorough personal/professional background investigation, and interview process. City of Gentry Public Works Laborer must be able to work outdoors safely in all weather conditions, lift up to 75 pounds, operate/maintain a variety of heavy equipment and perform manual labor activities. Possible jobs sites will include construction, treatment plant, road maintenance, park maintenance, and other related areas as requested by the supervisor. The City of Gentry is accepting applications for the position of Part Time Firefighter. You must hold a valid driver’s license, attend at least 50% of all required training sessions, respond to after-hours calls, must have completed all basic State required firefighter classes or higher, must have a minimum of First Responder Medical training or higher.  The City of Gentry is an equal opportunity employer.

Hours of operation:  9:00 am to 8:00 pm,

7 days a week.  For your safety, please observe the following rules:

  • THIS IS AN UNSUPERVISED AREA, USE AT YOUR OWN RISK

  • NO RUNNING OR CLIMBING ON WATER FEATURES

  • NO FOOD OR DRINKS ALLOWED ON SPLASHPAD

  • EVACUATE SPLASHPAD DURING STORMY WEATHER

  • IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT CHILDREN 12 AND UNDER BE SUPERVISED

  • FOOTWEAR IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED; SURFACES CAN BE SLIPPERY WHEN WET

  • PEDESTRIANS ONLY: NO PETS, SKATEBOARDS, BICYCLES, ROLLER SKATES, ETC. ALLOWED

  • CHILDREN REQUIRING DIAPERS MUST WEAR SWIM DIAPERS

  • NO GLASS CONTAINERS OR TRASH OF ANY KIND
