As each day brings new information, guidelines and regulations about COVID-19, I wanted to share a few thoughts and ideas that you might find beneficial, locally, while keeping social distancing in mind. We have trails and sidewalks to allow citizens the opportunity to get outdoors for a bike ride and/or walk, amongst other activities.
City Park: Parking, trails, disc golf, skate spot, and open space.
Flint Creek Nature Area: Parking, trails, fishing, open space, bird/wildlife watching and photo ops.
SWEPCO Lake: Parking at the boat ramp, fishing, bird/wildlife watching and photo ops.
Eagle Watch Nature Trail: Parking, trails, tree identification, open space, bird/wildlife watching and photo ops.
Most local restaurants and grocery/pharmacy stores offer one or more of the following; call-In, curbside, drive-thru, and home delivery.
Consider taking advantage of these amenities and services. The forecast for this week includes temperatures in the upper 60’s to lower 80’s. If you plan it right, you might actually get to enjoy it before it rains again.
