THE CITY OF GENTRY is accepting applications for Public Works Laborer.  Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, possess a high school diploma/GED, and have a valid driver’s license. A personal, professional, and criminal background investigation will be conducted. A medical examination and drug test will be required.

Public Works Laborer must be able to work outdoors safely in all weather conditions, lift up to 75 pounds, operate/maintain a variety of heavy equipment and perform manual labor activities. Should live in or around Gentry in the Gentry Fire Response area.

Must be in Good physical condition and able to Lift, Carry and Climb.

Must attend 50 % of the training sessions.

Must be able to complete the required training classes in 1 year.

Must be willing to answer calls in All weather conditions Day or Night 7 days a week.

Must be able to pass a background check.

Responsible for the day-to-day management and administration of the library and its staff and creating a warm and hospitable atmosphere. Library duties include maintaining circulation, servicing patrons’ resource needs, supervising and training staff and volunteers, managing the library’s operations, and coordinating with other city departments.

The Library Assistant plays an integral role in the library's team, to successfully implement public services, policies, procedures, and programs in accordance with the library's mission.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to: public desk duties, issues/updates library cards, tenders money, checks out/in materials, sorts, shelves, assists in locating materials, helps computer users with technical questions and data-entry. Also supports cataloging tasks and meeting room assistance, as required.  Strong focus on customer service, technology experience and teamwork. This position requires computer skills including office software.  Excel skills are preferred but not required, and a familiarity with social media.  Facility hours vary Monday – Saturday.  Must be willing to work flexible hours, approximately 15 hours per week.
